28 Sep Funding Available! CHNA Implementation Plans
A reminder that the MT Flex Program has funding available to assist up to eight (8) CAHs in completing their CHNA Implementation Planning process through the Montana Office of Rural Health.
Stipends of $6,750 are available to cover the Implementation Planning portion – the remaining funds would be covered by your facility ($6,750). If you are interested in this opportunity, please fill out this form and return it to the Office of Rural Health. Priority will be given to those who submit their letter by October 5, 2018.
Community Health Needs Assessments (CHNAs) help drive community benefit activities and health service planning. With the new IRS reporting requirements, many CAH’s (tax-exempt hospitals as a result of the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act) are tasked with conducting CHNAs and creating implementation strategies every three years. From 2007-2018, the Montana Office of Rural Health worked with 45 hospitals throughout the state of Montana (most having repeated the process two or more times). Various funding sources (Flex, FMBHP, F-CHIP, contracted services) have supported the continuation of this work.
